By-law 2025-128: A by-law to amend Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075 (fall leaf collection schedule)
On September 8, 2025, Wrenford City Council passed By-law 2025-128 to update the fall leaf collection schedule for the 2025 season. This by-law amends the Traffic and Parking By-law so City Services can safely clear streets and collect yard waste without blocking traffic or damaging parked vehicles.
What the by-law does
The amendment sets specific dates, times, and street-by-street locations for the extra leaf collection runs in October 2025. During these collection windows, parking will be restricted on the affected streets to give sweepers and collection trucks room to work. The by-law also clarifies that residents must place paper yard-waste bags on the curb by 7:00 a.m. on their scheduled collection day.
Who it applies to
This by-law applies to all residential property owners and tenants within the City of Wrenford. If you live in a neighbourhood scheduled for collection during October 2025, you must follow the posted parking restrictions and bagging rules. Commercial properties and multi-unit buildings are not covered by this residential schedule.
Fines and penalties
Violating a temporary parking restriction set out in this by-law is a contravention of the Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075. You may receive a fine of $75.00 for parking in a restricted zone during the scheduled collection hours. Repeated offences or blocking the collection route may result in towing at the owner's expense.
When it takes effect
By-law 2025-128 takes effect immediately upon its passage on September 8, 2025. The collection dates and parking restrictions it establishes will be in force throughout October 2025, as detailed in the City's seasonal waste calendar.
What it amends
This by-law amends the existing Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075 by adding a new section dedicated to seasonal leaf collection parking bylaws. It does not repeal any previous by-laws.
