By-law 2025-036: A by-law to amend Fees and Charges By-law 2025-151 (pool admission and facility rental rates)
What this by-law does
This by-law updates the fees you pay to use Wrenford's swimming pools and to book community spaces. The changes were approved by Council on March 10, 2025, at the March 10, 2025 Council meeting.
Who it applies to
These rates apply to all residents and non-residents who purchase pool passes, buy single-day admission, or reserve spaces for events and programmes at city facilities.
Main changes
The by-law increases the annual family pass for municipal pools to $180.00. Single-day admission is now $6.50. It also adjusts the hourly rental rates for community halls and recreation centres. For example, booking a space for a half day costs $150.00, and a full day is $350.00. These updates help the City keep our pools and facilities running smoothly, cover rising utility and maintenance costs, and continue offering programmes for all ages.
When it takes effect
The new rates will take effect on January 1, 2026. If you already have an annual pass for 2025, your current fee will still apply until the new year.
Enforcement and fines
This by-law does not create new offences. However, if you use a facility without paying the required fee, you may be asked to leave or pay the outstanding balance. Unpaid fees may be sent to the Provincial Offences Court for collection.
Amended by-law
This by-law amends the Fees and Charges By-law 2025-151. It does not repeal any existing sections.
