By-law 2025-052: A by-law to amend Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075 (Residential Parking Permit Program)

This page summarizes By-law 2025-052. The purpose of this by-law is to establish the residential parking permit program for the 2025-2026 term, including permit fees, validity periods, and enforcement mechanisms.

What it does

The by-law creates a permit system so residents can park on city streets in designated neighbourhoods without getting a ticket. It makes sure there is enough space for people who live in those areas.

Who it applies to

It applies to anyone living in the neighbourhoods where the program is active. If you want to park on the street outside your home during the restricted times, you need a valid permit.

Fines

If you park without a permit in a controlled zone, you will receive a ticket. The standard fine for parking in a restricted zone is $75.00.

When it takes effect

Council passed this by-law on April 28, 2025. It amends the Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075 to add the new permit rules.

A certified copy of this by-law is available from the City Clerk's office at Wrenford City Hall.
