By-law 2025-154: 2025 Remembrance Day Transit Service By-law
About this by-law
Remembrance Day is a time to honour those who served in the armed forces. To make sure you can still get around the city on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Council passed By-law 2025-154. This by-law adjusts the normal transit schedule so that Wrenford Transit runs as if it were Sunday.
What the by-law does
Normally, Wrenford Transit follows a weekday schedule on Tuesdays. This by-law temporarily switches the schedule to the Sunday timetable for all fixed routes (1 through 14) and Wrenford Access specialized transit services. You can expect the same reduced frequency you see on weekends, with fewer buses running between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Check the current transit map before you head out.
Who it applies to
This schedule change applies to all riders using Wrenford Transit services within the city limits on Remembrance Day. It does not affect school special routes (20-series), which remain closed for the holiday.
Fines and penalties
There are no fines or fees associated with this by-law. It is strictly an operational change to keep you moving on a civic holiday.
When it takes effect
The by-law takes effect on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, and applies only for that single day. Normal weekday service resumes on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
What it amends
This by-law amends the existing Transit System By-law 2017-095 to add a temporary operating schedule for Remembrance Day 2025. No parts of the by-law are repealed.
A certified copy of By-law 2025-154 is available for review at the Clerk's Office during regular business hours, or you can request it under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).
