By-law 2025-051: A by-law to authorize an agreement with the Director of Public Works for Capital Projects

By-law 2025-051 gives the City the go-ahead to hire a contractor for improvements at Benchlands Lookout Park. The main goal of this by-law is to make the park more accessible and comfortable for you and your neighbours.

What it does

This by-law authorizes the Director of Public Works to enter into a formal agreement with a qualified contractor. The work will focus on installing accessible seating and shade structures throughout the festival grounds and lookout areas. These upgrades are part of the City's ongoing capital projects to improve public spaces.

Who it applies to

The agreement is between the City of Wrenford and the selected contractor. All work must follow City engineering standards and safety regulations. The by-law does not place any new requirements on residents or businesses.

Fines and penalties

This by-law does not introduce any fines or penalties for the public. It is strictly an administrative authorization for a capital project.

When it takes effect

The by-law takes effect on the date it was passed by Council, April 28, 2025. It does not amend or repeal any existing by-laws.
