By-law 2026-071: A by-law to amend Fees and Charges By-law 2025-151 (parking fees at Ambrel Lake Park)

This by-law updates the By-laws. It changes the parking rates for the lot at Ambrel Lake Park. The new fees will help cover the cost of paving repairs and support upgrades to the park's playground and boardwalk.
Starting June 1, 2026, the daily parking rate at Ambrel Lake Park will be $10.00. Hourly rates will be $3.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for each additional hour. These rates apply to all visitors using the parking area. The City uses these funds to keep the parking lot safe and to maintain the park's trails and picnic shelters.
If you do not pay the required parking fee, you may receive a ticket under the Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075. Standard municipal fines apply for unpaid parking tickets.
This by-law replaces the previous parking fee schedule for Ambrel Lake Park. It does not change rules for the park's picnic shelters, which are booked separately through the Recreation & Culture department.
Residents and visitors can pay for parking using the Wrenford 311 service line or the City's online payment portal. Cash payments are not accepted at the park.
We passed this by-law on May 25, 2026, during the regular Council meeting. Council made this change to ensure the park stays in great shape for everyone who visits Ambrel Lake Road.
