By-law 2026-029: A by-law to amend Zoning By-law 2016-040 (site plan control exemption at 12 Tamsin Street)
About this by-law
By-law 2026-029 was passed by Council on March 9, 2026. It changes the City's Zoning By-law 2016-040 to help a property owner at 12 Tamsin Street make minor landscaping changes.
What the by-law does
Normally, the City requires a site plan control approval before you can make changes to the outside of a property, like adding patios, fences, or grading. This by-law gives a specific exemption for the property at 12 Tamsin Street. You will no longer need a full site plan review for small landscaping updates on that lot. The exemption only covers the changes that were reviewed and approved by the Planning and Environment Committee.
Who it applies to
This by-law applies only to the property at 12 Tamsin Street. It covers the current owner and any future owners. It does not change the rules for your home or business.
Fines and compliance
While this by-law removes the site plan requirement for the listed landscaping work, you must still follow the rest of Zoning By-law 2016-040. If you make changes that fall outside the approved landscaping plan, standard zoning fines may apply. For more information on zoning violations, visit the Zoning page.
When it takes effect
This by-law takes effect as soon as the Mayor and City Clerk sign it. A certified copy is available for public review at the Clerk's office in Wrenford City Hall. You can also view the full text under By-laws.
