By-law 2026-044: 2026 Tax Levy By-law

This by-law sets the property tax rates for the 2026 operating and capital budgets. It establishes how much residential, commercial, and multi-residential property owners will pay to fund local services and provincial requisitions. The rates cover everyday operations, road maintenance, and garbage collection, as well as capital investments like the new Northgate Aquatic Centre and continued upgrades to the Wrenford Transit system. The by-law also funds essential community programs, including support for Ontario Works and housing initiatives through the Community Services department.

If you own property in the City of Wrenford, this by-law applies to you. It establishes the final tax rates for the year and outlines the payment schedule. Interim tax bills are due on the last business day of February and April. Final tax bills are due on the last business day of June and September. You can pay by pre-authorized monthly plan, online, or in person at the Service Wrenford counter.

The by-law takes effect on the date Council passed it, April 13, 2026. It does not amend or repeal any previous legislation; it simply establishes the tax rates for the current fiscal year. Council adopted this by-law as part of the annual budget process, following public engagement and a careful review of the city's financial plan.

A certified copy of By-law 2026-044 is available for review or purchase from the City Clerk's office at Wrenford City Hall, 100 Mercer Street. You can also find it on the city's By-laws page.
