By-law 2026-087: A by-law to amend Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075 (parking restrictions on Tamsin Street)

Purpose

By-law 2026-087 changes how you can park along Tamsin Street so that road improvements can move forward safely. The changes are needed to finish paving and utility upgrades after the recent boil water advisory was lifted.

What it does

You will see new temporary parking signs posted by early July 2026. If you own a property on the affected section, you must keep your vehicles off the street during work hours. This rule applies to all drivers and residents in the area. Keeping the lane clear helps workers, emergency vehicles, and transit buses move through the area without delay.

Fines

If you park in a restricted zone while the signs are up, you will face a standard municipal fine of $75.00 under the Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075. Repeated violations can lead to higher penalties or towing at the owner's expense.

When it takes effect

The restrictions take effect on July 1, 2026, and will stay in place until City crews finish the road work.

What it amends

This by-law amends the existing Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075 to add a temporary work zone schedule. It does not repeal any other sections of the by-law.

Certified copy

A certified copy of the by-law is available for review at the Clerk's office, located inside Wrenford City Hall at 100 Mercer Street. You can also find the full text online under By-laws.
