By-law 2024-194: A by-law to amend Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075 (parking restrictions on Concession 4 Road)

This by-law amends the Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075 to improve snow removal on Concession 4 Road.

What the by-law does

It prohibits vehicles from parking on the north side of Concession 4 Road between Ambrel Lake Road and Northgate Boulevard. This rule applies during the winter season so that snowplows and City crews can clear the street safely and efficiently. The City will post seasonal signs to mark the restricted area.

Who it applies to

Any driver or property owner using the affected stretch of road. If you park there during the ban period, your vehicle may be towed at your expense. Residents and businesses in the area should plan their parking accordingly.

Fines and penalties

Violating this by-law is an offence under the Municipal Act, 2001. First-time offenders can be fined up to $300.00. Repeat violations carry higher penalties and additional costs for towing and impoundment.

When it takes effect

The by-law takes effect on December 1, 2024, and remains in force until the end of the winter season. It runs alongside the City's general overnight parking ban from December 1 to March 31.
