By-law 2024-006: A by-law authorizing an agreement with the Director of Public Works for infrastructure services
This by-law gives the Mayor and City Clerk the authority to sign an agreement with the Director of Public Works. The agreement covers the day-to-day management, planning, and maintenance of Wrenford’s essential municipal infrastructure. This includes the repair and upkeep of roads and bridges, water and wastewater treatment systems, stormwater management, and public works facilities across the city.
You won’t find new fines or penalties for residents in this agreement. Instead, it ensures that the Public Works department has the clear mandate and administrative framework to keep the city’s critical systems running safely and efficiently. By-law enforcement officers and compliance staff are not directly affected by this agreement, as it focuses on engineering and operational standards rather than municipal enforcement.
The agreement takes effect the day Council passed it on January 22, 2024, unless the signed document specifies a different start date. This by-law does not change or replace any previous by-laws. It works alongside existing infrastructure policies and the annual capital works program.
