By-law 2020-082: Public Behaviour By-law

The Public Behaviour By-law 2020-082 helps make sure all residents and visitors feel safe and welcome when using Wrenford's parks, streets, and public spaces. Passed by Council on June 8, 2020, this by-law sets clear expectations for how we all behave in shared areas.

The by-law applies to anyone using city property, including public parks, sidewalks, transit terminals, and community facilities. It covers a range of everyday situations, from loitering and public intoxication to making threats or causing a disturbance. The rules are designed to protect your rights while making sure public spaces remain comfortable for everyone.

If you break the rules in this by-law, you could face a fine ranging from $50.00 to $300.00 for a first offence, depending on the severity of the violation. By-law Enforcement Officers have the authority to issue tickets and enforce these standards across the city.

The by-law takes effect on July 1, 2020. It does not amend or repeal any previous public behaviour regulations. You can report violations by calling Wrenford 311 or contacting By-law Enforcement directly. A certified copy of the full by-law is available at the Clerk's Office in Wrenford City Hall, or you can view it through the Online By-law Search Portal.
