Reports and Decisions
Council reviewed several updates affecting neighbourhoods and city services.
Residential parking permits are now open for the 2025–2026 term. Residents can apply starting May 1, 2025. The annual permit costs $75.00 and is issued digitally. This update aligns with the new 2025 Residential Parking Permit By-law.
Capital improvements continue at Benchlands Lookout Park. Council confirmed that new accessible seating and shade structures will be installed this summer. The project is funded through the city’s capital budget and aims to improve comfort for visitors watching events and enjoying the view.
Volunteers are welcome at the Centennial Gardens. A spring planting day is scheduled for Saturday, May 3. City crews will lead the work to refresh the downtown gardens. Residents who want to help can join the morning shift to plant flowers and tidy the beds.
Race registration is open for the Tamsin River Run. The annual 5K and 10K race takes place along the river trail this May. Participants can sign up online to join runners of all levels.
