Reports and Decisions
Climate and Infrastructure
The City will move forward with installing public and fleet electric vehicle charging stations at Civic Operations Centre. This project supports Wrenford's Climate adaptation strategy and gives EV owners a convenient place to charge. The work is expected to begin in February.
Waste Collection Update
The City Services department reminded residents that Blue Box recycling is collected weekly, while Green Bin organics are picked up on the same day. Paper yard waste bags are available from the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility starting in April. Residents are encouraged to check the Garbage & Recycling page for the full schedule.
Public Safety
Fire Station 2 renovation plans were reviewed. The department will seek proposals for the upgrade later this year to improve crew facilities and equipment storage. The project aligns with the city's broader infrastructure maintenance goals.
Transit Service
The Transit Manager reported on the upcoming spring schedule changes. New routes will better connect the Kingfisher and Railside neighbourhoods to the downtown core, improving access for commuters and students.
