Wrenford residents can sign up for a wide range of winter recreation and arts programs starting tomorrow. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. on December 13, 2023.
The winter season offers something for everyone in the city. You can register your children for swim lessons at the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre and Northgate Aquatic Centre. Families can also book learn-to-skate classes at the Westbrook Community Arena and Eastfield Twin Arenas. If you are looking for new hobbies, the arts program is running classes in drawing, painting, pottery, theatre, and dance for all ages.
For those who want to stay active indoors, check out the drop-in fitness schedule. Options include yoga and pilates, strength training, and gentle fitness classes designed for older adults. Teenagers can join teen fitness programs or take part in virtual fitness classes from home.
You can register through Wrenford Recreation Online or call the City at 519-555-0100. If you prefer to register in person, visit the Service Wrenford counter at Wrenford City Hall or the information desk at the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre. Make sure your account is set up and your payment method is ready before registration day.
"Winter is a great time to try a new activity or stick with a favourite one," says Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. "We have updated many of our program offerings this year to meet community feedback, so we encourage everyone to look through the full schedule online before registration day."
If you need help with registration, check out our online registration help page and review the registration dates and tips to avoid common mistakes. Fee assistance is available for residents who qualify through the Recreation fee assistance program.
