Stay active and connected

Gentle fitness and senior classes are low to moderate intensity programs designed to help you maintain strength, balance, and overall wellness. These classes provide a supportive environment where you can move at your own pace, meet new friends, and have fun. Whether you are looking to improve your mobility, prevent falls, or simply enjoy some time outdoors or in the water, there is a class for you.

Benefits of gentle fitness

Regular gentle exercise can help you:

  • Reduce pain and maintain body function with exercises modified for your needs.
  • Improve balance and coordination to lower your risk of falls.
  • Build strength and flexibility to make daily tasks easier.
  • Support cardiovascular health and mental well-being.

With 17,500 seniors in Wrenford, our programs are designed to keep our older adults active, independent, and connected to their community.

Class levels

Classes are grouped into three levels so you can choose the intensity that works best for you. Your instructor will help you find the right fit.

Level Focus Activity Style
Level 1 Posture and fall prevention Mostly seated, with some standing balance work.
Level 2 Functional capacity and independence A choice of seated or standing activities.
Level 3 Active movement and endurance On your feet the whole time, avoiding high impact.
