Class types

Aquatic fitness

Water-based classes help you build strength and flexibility while protecting your joints. Classes are held at the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre and the Northgate Aquatic Centre. See the Aqua fitness classes page for full times and levels.

Strength & cardio

Build confidence with instructor-led circuits, interval training, and light-to-moderate resistance work. These sessions focus on everyday movement and general fitness. Explore Strength and trx classes for more details.

Gentle fitness & seniors

Low-impact exercises designed for older adults or anyone recovering from an injury. Classes focus on balance, mobility, and light strengthening. Find sessions at the Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre and the Westbrook Community Arena.

Mind-body & yoga

Relax and recharge with guided stretching, breathing exercises, and yoga flows. Bring your own mat for Pilates, yoga, and stretch & restore sessions. Check the Yoga and pilates classes page for class styles.

Open gym & weight room

Use the cardio machines, free weights, and strength equipment on your own schedule. Youth aged 13 to 17 must complete a weight room orientation before their first visit. Sign up for a Teen fitness program to learn equipment safety and etiquette.
