Read the Wrenford Arts and Culture Plan 2025–2035, our ten-year roadmap for supporting local creators, cultural spaces, and community events.

About the plan

The Wrenford Arts and Culture Plan 2025–2035 is our roadmap for keeping creativity at the heart of our city. It sets out clear goals for the next ten years so that every resident can take part in the arts, whether you paint, dance, play music, or simply enjoy a festival on a summer evening. The plan was built with input from local artists, community groups, and neighbourhood residents across all six wards.

What the plan covers

The plan focuses on four main areas that shape how we experience culture in Wrenford:

  • Supporting local creators — Making it easier for artists and performers to find studio space, exhibition venues, and funding through our community grants programme.
  • Strengthening cultural spaces — Ensuring venues like the Fallsview Arts Centre, Railside Gallery, and Old Mill Museum & Archives remain accessible and well-maintained for public programming.
  • Building community events — Growing our calendar of free, family-friendly celebrations like the Benchlands Folk Festival and Canada Day in the Park that bring neighbours together.
  • Embedding equity and reconciliation — Partnering with local groups to share Indigenous heritage knowledge and ensuring all cultural events meet AODA standards.

How to read the plan
