Celebrate Culture Days in Wrenford
Culture Days is Canada’s largest public participation campaign for the arts. Each year, we invite you to explore creativity and heritage right in your neighbourhood. This September and October, Wrenford hosts a full month of free and low-cost events, workshops and community celebrations. You can join a class, enter an art contest or simply visit a local gallery. Everything is open to residents of all ages and backgrounds.
Wrenford Culture Days Launch Event
Kick off the season at the Tamsin River Culture Kick-off. Join musicians, dancers and local artists at Centennial Gardens on Sunday, September 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The day features live performances, a children’s craft zone and food vendors from the downtown area. Free shuttle buses run from Wrenford City Hall every thirty minutes.

Spend a few hours learning a new skill at a community venue. Several local spots offer Culture Days special sessions:

Enter the Wrenford Stories Art Contest
Showcase your creativity in the Wrenford Stories Art Contest. This year’s theme is “Built by the River.” We welcome photographs, paintings, digital art and short poems that capture Wrenford’s landscapes, waterways and neighbourhoods. Submissions are open until September 25, 2026. Winning pieces will be displayed at Old Mill Museum & Archives in November. Visit the contest page to download the entry form and read the full rules.
Explore Heritage and Museums
Culture Days is also a great time to visit local history sites. Old Mill Museum & Archives is hosting a monthly open house on the first Saturday of every month. Guided tours of the restored 1834 grist mill run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The museum reading room is open for researchers who want to view archival photographs and city records. Learn more about heritage properties and how to preserve local history.
