Explore creative programs
Wrenford offers a wide range of visual and performing arts programs for all ages and skill levels. Whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or refining your craft, our classes are led by local instructors and hosted at city facilities like the Fallsview Arts Centre and the Railside Gallery.
Registration dates and how to register
Registration for seasonal programs and camps opens on specific dates each year. We encourage you to create a Wrenford Recreation Account before registration opens so you can sign up quickly.
- Schedules released: Two weeks before registration opens.
- Winter registration opens: The first Monday of December.
- Spring/Summer and camp registration opens: The first Monday of March.
You can register online through the Wrenford Recreation portal, by phone at 519-555-0120, or in person at any recreation facility front desk. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend registering as soon as the window opens.
Programs and classes
Arts programs run throughout the fall, winter, and spring sessions. Classes cover painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and introductory theatre. Most classes meet once a week for eight to ten weeks.
We also offer free drop-in Art Studio in the Park sessions during the summer months. These are held at Centennial Gardens and the Railside Gallery patio from late June to August. No registration is required, and all materials are provided. Children aged 6 to 12 attend morning sessions, while adults can join evening workshops.
Youth camps
Our day camps combine arts and crafts with outdoor play and team-building activities. Camps run daily from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and include a mix of structured projects, field trips, and unstructured creative time. Annual themes rotate yearly, with past themes including Arts and culture, Nature and trails, and Water and aquatics.
Fees and fee assistance
Standard fees for arts classes range from $35.00 to $120.00 per session, depending on the length and materials required. Camp fees start at $225.00 per week.
If you need help covering the cost of registration, you may qualify for Recreation Fee Assistance. Eligible families can apply through Fair Entry. Approved participants receive a subsidy allocation that can be used online or in person at the time of registration. For more information, visit the Recreation fee assistance page.
