2026 holiday schedule changes
When a statutory holiday coincides with your regular collection day, garbage, recycling, and organics pickup is pushed back by one business day. Collections are not delayed for Remembrance Day (November 11).

What to do on holiday collection days
If your regular collection day falls on a statutory holiday, place your carts at the curb on the next business day. Your following collection day stays on the regular schedule. This applies to your black cart, blue bin, and green bin.
- Do not place your carts out early on the actual holiday.
- Keep your carts at the curb until the delayed collection day is complete.
- If you miss your delayed collection, place your carts at the curb the next business day.
Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve
There are no changes to service for Thursday, December 24, 2026 (Christmas Eve) or Thursday, December 31, 2026 (New Year's Eve). Expect your normal collection.
Multi-family and commercial services
Multi-family properties and businesses serviced by the City follow this same schedule. Private waste management companies should check directly with their service provider.
