Learn about park rental rates

Check daily rates for Wrenford parks and greenspaces, plus extra fees for shelters, electrical hook-ups, and deposits.

What you can do

You can rent city parks and greenspaces for birthdays, community gatherings, film shoots, and small festivals. Before you book, check the park rules to make sure your event fits the space and follows the noise and hours policies.

How to book and pay

Start your application through the Service Wrenford portal. You will need to upload your general liability insurance certificate showing at least $2,000,000 coverage, naming the City of Wrenford as an additional insured. See the insurance requirements page for details. Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive a permit and an invoice. Payment is due immediately by credit card, debit, or e-transfer.

Park rental fees

Rental rates cover the land, basic maintenance, and access to washrooms and picnic tables. All prices include the Goods and Services Tax. Rates are set in the Fees and Charges By-law and adjust each year.

  • Standard greenspace: $60.00 per day
  • Pathways and boardwalks: $60.00 per day
  • Major pathway segments (e.g., Centennial Bridge approach): $90.00 per day
  • Special event administration fee: $25.00 (non-refundable)

If you need a picnic shelter, see the shelter and picnic site rates. Additional costs may apply for your specific event, including:

  • Electrical hook-up: $40.00 per event
  • Portable washroom rental: $120.00 per unit per day
  • Damage deposit: $250.00 (refunded within 14 days if the site is undamaged)
  • After-hours access: $25.00 per hour

If your event spills over into adjacent greenspace, extra area fees will apply based on the total square metres used.

Cancellation and refund policy

Visit the booking amendment and cancellation page for full details. In short: cancellations made more than 30 days before your event get a full refund. Cancellations made 7 to 30 days before get a 50% refund. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours of the event.
