Why get a library card?
A Wrenford Public Library card gives you free access to books, magazines, and digital tools. You can use it to register for community programs, book meeting rooms, and borrow materials from any of our three branches. The card is free for anyone who lives in Wrenford.
Library card application
Who can apply?
If you live in Wrenford, you qualify for a free card. You just need to show proof of your address, like a driver’s licence, a utility bill, or a lease agreement. People who live outside the city can still get a card by paying an annual fee of $45.00.
Applying for a youth card
Kids under 13 must apply with a parent or guardian. Teens aged 13 and older can apply on their own. Youth cards work just like adult cards, so you can borrow the same number of items and join the same programs.
How to apply
You can apply online or visit a branch in person.
Online application: Visit the Wrenford Public Library website to start a digital application. You will upload a photo of your identification, and your digital card will appear in your account right away. You can use it on your phone at the self-checkout machines.
In-person application: Visit the Main Branch, Northgate Branch, or Ambrel Lake Branch. Bring your photo identification and proof of address. The staff at the front desk will help you fill out the form and print your card.
What you can do with your card
Once you have your card, you can borrow up to 10 items at a time. Items are kept for you for seven days if you need to place a hold. Your card also opens up our digital collection. You can read e-books, listen to audiobooks, and watch educational videos from home. Log in with your card number and PIN on the library website. You can also use your card to reserve seats for popular classes, sign up for summer day camps, and book study spaces.
