How to reach us

For water account questions, call 519-555-0100 or dial 311 inside city limits. You can also email [email protected]. Our staff are available Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Wrenford City Hall, 100 Mercer Street.

Billing cycle and statements

Water bills in Wrenford are sent every two months. You will see charges for water usage, wastewater treatment, and fixed service fees. If you do not receive a bill, check your email spam folder or manage your account online. You can also visit the Service Wrenford counter at City Hall to print a copy.

Updating your account details

You can change your mailing address, phone number, or email address online. If you need to update your name or add a joint account holder, please visit City Hall in person or mail a signed change-of-information form to the Revenue and Water Billing Supervisor.

Pre-authorized payments

Set up pre-authorized payments to have your water bill automatically deducted from your bank account. This ensures you never miss a due date and avoids late fees. You can download the pre-authorization form online or pick one up at City Hall. Once signed, return it to the Revenue and Water Billing Supervisor at City Hall. Your first automatic payment will appear on your next billing cycle.

Account changes and moves

If you are moving, you must transfer or close your water account before you leave. Open a new account or close an account online, or visit City Hall. If you are taking over a property, please open an account in your name within 30 days of closing. The previous owner is responsible for all charges until the account is officially transferred.

Questions about charges

Common charges include:

  • Water usage: Based on how much water your meter records each billing period.
  • Wastewater fee: A fixed rate that covers sewer treatment and maintenance.
  • Service charge: Covers meter reading and account management.

If your bill seems higher than usual, check for leaks in your home or review the water meter guide. You can also request a meter accuracy test through the Water Operations team.

Hardship and payment plans

If you are facing financial difficulty, contact us right away. We can set up a payment arrangement so you can pay your balance in smaller monthly amounts. For low-income assistance, ask about the Ontario Works utility support program or the property tax assistance program.
