Drop-off depots
You can bring eligible household waste to two city depots. Both locations accept recyclables, yard waste, and bulky items. Fees apply for certain materials. Please drive carefully on Concession 4 Road and Northgate Boulevard when visiting.
East Wrenford Waste Management Facility
Address: 3500 Concession 4 Road, Wrenford, ON N4Q 7A1
Phone: 519-555-0128
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This is the main landfill and recycling depot. You can drop off household hazardous waste, leaf and yard waste, and bulky items here. The facility also operates the sharps drop-off and accepts electronics under Ontario producer responsibility rules. Staff can help you load materials and provide receipts for fee-based items.
Northgate Drop-off Depot
Address: 1010 Northgate Boulevard, Wrenford, ON N4Q 4B8
Hours: Wednesday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This depot handles flexible plastics, foam, and general household recycling. It also accepts mattresses and hazardous waste. The Northgate depot does not accept construction waste or large appliances.
Fees and limits
Most household recycling and yard waste is free. The following fees apply at city depots:
- Mattresses and furniture: $25.00 per item. Residents can use up to two free recycling visits per calendar year through the Mattress Recycling Voucher Programme.
- Construction and demolition waste: $35.00 per tonne. Loads over 20 tonnes require advance notice by phone to schedule a weigh-in.
- Asbestos waste: $150.00 per load surcharge plus $85.00 per tonne. A Special Waste Disposal Permit is required before you drop off asbestos. You must package materials in sealed, leak-proof containers.
- Bulky items: Residential customers get three free items per pickup, twice a year. For depot drop-off, bulky items follow the same limits. Place items at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day, or bring them directly to the East Wrenford scale house.
- Extra garbage bags: The 10 kg extra bag weight limit applies to bundled bags placed next to your black cart. Depot drop-off follows the same weight guidelines to keep workers safe.
