Reports and decisions

Spring Street Sweeping

The City Manager outlined the spring street sweeping schedule. Crews will sweep neighbourhoods in April and May to clear debris and improve drainage. You are reminded to move your vehicle according to the posted signs each morning. This program helps prevent clogged storm drains and reduces flooding risks along the Tamsin River. Carried.

Illegal Dumping By-law

By-law Enforcement presented the new Illegal Dumping By-law. The City will increase patrols in high-impact areas, install additional cameras, and launch a public education campaign. You can now report dumping directly through the Service Wrenford mobile app. Carried.

Summer Public Safety Campaign

Following a recommendation from the Public Safety committee, Council approved a joint summer public safety campaign with Wrenford Paramedic Services. The campaign will focus on water safety at Ambrel Lake and the Tamsin River, as well as heat awareness for seniors and outdoor workers. Information will be distributed at community centres and posted online. Carried.

Committee of Adjustment Update

Secretary-Treasurer Farid Haddad reported on pending minor variances and consents. Staff will present a quarterly update at the May meeting. Carried.

By-laws

The following by-law was passed:

  • By-law 2026-060: Illegal Dumping By-law. Carried (7-0).

Adjournment
