Reports and Decisions
Northgate Aquatic Centre schedule. The City posted the updated summer schedule for the Northgate Aquatic Centre. Registration remains open for evening sessions, and you can view the full timetable on the Recreation & Culture page. Carried.
Downtown patio permits. The City opened applications for outdoor patio permits for downtown businesses. Owners can now apply to expand seating into the public right-of-way for the summer season. This initiative supports local shops and gives you more places to enjoy a meal outside in the downtown core. Carried.
Tamsin River Trail maintenance. The City will begin spring sweeping and trail maintenance on the Tamsin River Trail System starting next month. Crews will clear debris, check signage, and ensure all trailheads at Riverside Flats Park, Ambrel Lake Park, and Benchlands Lookout are ready for your morning runs. Carried.
Commercial noise enforcement. The City will increase patrols for commercial delivery noise in the Industrial Park East area. By-law enforcement officers will focus on early morning deliveries that disrupt nearby residents. If you hear loud deliveries outside permitted hours, you can report them through Wrenford 311. Carried.
Ambrel Lake Park cleanup. A volunteer cleanup day will be held at Ambrel Lake Park in June. Residents are encouraged to bring gloves and help clear litter from the boardwalk and picnic areas. The City will provide bags and refreshments for volunteers. Carried.
Winter maintenance review. The City reviewed the 2023–2024 winter maintenance season and confirmed that all residential streets were cleared within the standard timeframes after snowfall. Crews focused on plowing main roads first, followed by residential streets once snowfall reached eight centimetres. Carried.
