Visiting the cemetery
Wrenford Cemetery is open every day for quiet reflection and visiting. We ask that you keep noise to a minimum and follow the quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- April 1 to October 31: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- November 1 to March 31: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please keep pets on a short leash or leave them at home. Dogs are not allowed in the memorial walls or scatter garden areas. Park only in the designated lots or on the street where space allows. Do not block any access roads.
Interment options
We offer several ways to lay a loved one to rest. All interment rights are sold at time of need only, meaning at the time of death or when death is expected. You cannot pre-purchase a plot unless you are a Wrenford resident at the time of purchase.
- Full burial lots: One full burial with up to four cremated remains.
- Cremation lots: Up to two cremated remains.
- Niche walls: Above-ground spaces for up to two urns.
- Scatter garden: A shared garden where cremated remains are scattered. Available at Wrenford Cemetery only.
Memorial permits and adornments
The City does not sell memorials. We only sell the permit to install one. You must have a Memorial Permit for any headstone, plaque, or garden ornament. A single in-ground flower vase will be supplied and installed upon request.
Memorial size depends on the type of interment site. Plaque costs for niche walls are not included in the interment fee. No adornments are allowed on the memorial walls, niche walls, or scatter garden.
Fees for interment and services
All fees are set out in the Fees and Charges By-law 2025-151. Rates depend on whether the deceased was a Wrenford resident at the time of death.
