Find a bid or tender
All public procurement opportunities are posted on the Wrenford Supplier Portal here. You can search by trade, contract value, or neighbourhood. The portal is free to use and updates daily.
Get pre-qualified
Before you can bid on most projects, you must be on our approved supplier list. Register your company through our registration page and submit proof of insurance, safety records, and financial references. The Purchasing team reviews applications within ten business days.
Read the bid documents
Every posting includes a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Invitation to Tender (ITT). Read the scope of work, evaluation criteria, and delivery dates carefully. Missing a required form or signature can disqualify your bid before it is opened.
Environmental requirements
For construction and service contracts over a set value, you must submit the Contractor Environmental Responsibilities Package (CERP) here. This document outlines how you will manage waste, protect the Tamsin River watershed, and reduce carbon emissions during the project.
Prepare and submit your bid
Upload your complete proposal to the Wrenford Supplier Portal before the posted deadline. If the portal is down, you may email a PDF copy to [email protected] with the bid number in the subject line. Do not send physical copies unless the RFP specifically asks for them.
Where to send bids
If an RFP requires a sealed envelope, mail or deliver it to:
- P.O. Box 5678, Station Main, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A1
Write the bid number and your company name on the outside. Bids must arrive before 2:00 p.m. on the closing date.
Bid fees and bonds
Most small purchases under $50,000 do not require a bid bond. For larger projects, the RFP will state if a bid bond or tender bond is needed. These bonds protect the City if a winning bidder decides not to sign the contract. Check the Bids & Tenders page for current fee schedules.
After you submit
Once the deadline passes, the City opens all bids in a recorded session. We score each proposal against the criteria in the RFP. If your bid is not successful, you can fill out the Bid debrief survey here to ask for feedback on your score. The City will not discuss scores with bidders who do not win.
