How we support accessibility
The City of Wrenford is committed to making our parks, trails, and recreation facilities welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you need help accessing a program or facility, contact our Accessibility Coordinator at 519-555-0142 or [email protected].
Features at our recreation centres
Our main indoor facilities are designed to be used by people of all abilities. When you visit, you will find:
- Automatic entry doors and lowered service counters at the front desk.
- Universal washrooms and spacious changerooms with transfer benches on every level.
- PAL2 pool lifts and submersible aquatic wheelchairs at both Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre and Northgate Aquatic Centre.
- A zero-depth entry ramp into the main pool at Northgate Aquatic Centre.
- Wide hallways and accessible elevator access to all floors.
Arena and outdoor features
Both Westbrook Community Arena and Eastfield Twin Arenas offer accessible parking close to the main entrance. The dressing rooms are large and feature low hooks and barrier-free showers. The ice surfaces are fully accessible for sledge hockey, complete with clear bench boards and removable flooring in the warm-up rooms.
For outdoor spaces, most park shelters and playgrounds include accessible routes and transfer stations. The Tamsin River Trail System has paved sections near Centennial Gardens and Riverside Flats Park for easy navigation.
Attendant admission
If you require one-on-one support to participate in drop-in programs or use our facilities, your support person or attendant receives free admission. Just show your Facility Admission Card at the front desk, and we will waive the attendant's fee. We also honour Easter Seals Canada Access 2 cards.
Adapted and supported programs
We offer adapted fitness classes, inclusive swim lessons, and social recreation groups. If you need an Individualized Inclusion Support Plan or a Leisure Companion for a registered program, please contact us at least three weeks before the season starts so we can arrange the right support. Our support services are free for the participant, though standard program fees may still apply.
Setting up your Facility Admission Card
All patrons need a Facility Admission Card to use our drop-in programs. The card keeps your account secure and speeds up check-in. If you need help setting up your card, require an accessible format, or need assistance with the registration process, call 519-555-0142 or visit City Services at 100 Mercer Street.

Code of Conduct
Everyone is expected to follow our Code of Conduct to keep facilities safe and welcoming. Inappropriate behaviour, including harassment or disregarding facility rules, can result in suspension from programs. If you have questions about the rules, staff are happy to explain them.
