Development application fees
Use this page to find the fees for planning and development applications in Wrenford. All fees are set out in Planning fees. Fees are non-refundable once an application is received and reviewed by staff.
Zoning and official plan amendments
- Official plan amendment: $3,000.00
- Zoning bylaw amendment: $2,500.00
- Standardized district rezoning: $2,800.00
- Public notice and advertising: $700.00
Minor variance and development variance permits
- Minor variance: $350.00
- Development variance permit: $650.00
Consents and subdivisions
- Consent to convey: $850.00
- Minor subdivision: $1,500.00
- Major subdivision: $4,500.00
Change of use and site plan applications
- Change of use development permit: $400.00
- Construction drawings review: $1,200.00
Development permits
- Backyard suite development permit: $600.00
- New residential development permit: $800.00 to $1,500.00
- Residential deck development permit: $75.00
Planning appeals and records
- Planning appeal: $500.00
- Building and zoning certificate: $165.00
- Building records retrieval: $50.00 minimum, plus $0.25 per digital page
Additional charges
Applications submitted outside of normal business hours or requiring immediate attention are subject to an emergency processing surcharge of 25 per cent. A completeness check fee of $75.00 applies when an application is returned to the applicant for missing information before review begins.
How to pay
Pay by credit card online through the Planning & Development portal, or in person at the Planning & Development office. We also accept certified cheques, money orders, and direct deposits. If you pay by mail, please make the cheque payable to the "City of Wrenford" and include your application number in the memo line.
Refund and cancellation policy
Fees are non-refundable once staff begin reviewing your application. If you withdraw an application before the first completeness check, you may request a refund for the advertising portion of the fee only. Submit a refund request to [email protected].
