Subdivision inspections and approvals

Find out how to book inspections, request final certifications, and understand indemnification agreements for new subdivision construction.

Who to contact

When you build a new subdivision in Wrenford, our planning and engineering teams work with you to make sure every utility, road, and park meets city standards. This page explains how to book inspections, submit your final certification requests, and get your indemnification agreements in order.

Consulting Engineers Field Services Guidelines

The Consulting Engineer's Field Services Guidelines (2025 Edition) is our main rulebook for field services. It covers the construction, installation, and inspection of infrastructure in the road right-of-way. Download the guidelines and the Wrenford Design Criteria package to see cross-sections, utility requirements, and standard drawings.

Requesting inspections

Utility inspections: Submit the Development Agreement Utility Inspection Request form to [email protected]. This covers all construction and certificate requests. Make sure you download the form and open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Surface inspections: Use the surface inspection request form. Book at least 48 hours before you start work.

Parks and trails: Parks inspections follow the same 48-hour rule. Maya Chen-Watson coordinates these to ensure green spaces meet the landscaping and tree protection standards.

Indemnification agreements

Before any utility or surface work happens in the road right-of-way, you must sign an indemnification agreement with the City. Victor Almeida handles these contracts. Once signed, you can book your inspections through the utility or surface request forms.

Final certifications

When construction is done, you need a Construction Complete Certification (CCC) and a Final Acceptance Certification (FAC). Use the Subdivision CCC Request form and the Subdivision FAC Request form. These replace the old Certificate Inspection Request forms.

The City issues formal notices within five business days of receiving a complete request. If you need a construction traffic management plan, submit it at least 10 business days ahead for high-impact work or 6 business days for low-impact work.
