About the guidelines
These guidelines set out the minimum field services your consulting engineer must provide when working on Wrenford infrastructure projects. They cover the installation and inspection of water mains, sanitary and storm sewers, paved roads, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, stormwater facilities, and boulevards. Following these standards keeps our streets and underground utilities safe and reliable for everyone.
Construction completion and final acceptance
Every infrastructure project must pass two main inspection stages before the City accepts it. The first is the Construction Completion Certificate (CCC). This confirms that all underground utilities and surface improvements are built to plan and are ready for inspection. The second is the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC). This happens after the required maintenance period, once the City is satisfied that the work has held up and all punch-list items are fixed.

You must submit the correct forms at each stage. Download the current versions below. Make sure you use the right checklist for your specific project scope. Using outdated forms will delay your review.

How to submit your paperwork
Submit all completed forms through the Planning and Development department. You can upload them electronically through the Wrenford Permit Portal or drop printed copies at City Hall. Make sure each form is signed by a licensed professional engineer. Incomplete submissions will delay your inspection dates.
Scheduling inspections and fees
Book your inspections at least ten business days in advance. You will need a Job Access Code for each inspection request. The City charges standard review fees for construction drawings and site inspections, which are listed in the Planning fees page. Late cancellations or unready work sites may incur reinspection fees under By-law 2025-151.
