Summer day camp registration begins June 11 for all ages

Registration for the City of Wrenford's 2026 Summer Day Camps opens today, June 11, 2026, on Wrenford Recreation Online. Families can sign up children ages 5 to 17 for week-long full-day and half-day camps throughout the summer.

Each camp week focuses on a fun, hands-on theme. This season's options include Nature and trails, where kids explore local parks and walk the Tamsin River Trail; Water and aquatics, featuring supervised swimming and splash pad play; Arts and culture, with crafts and studio visits; Sports and games, highlighting field sports and relay races; and Community helpers, which brings in staff from the fire, police, and transit services for special tours.

Camps run from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. daily. For activities that take place off-site, the City provides charter bus transit so families do not need to drive. All camp locations offer visual schedules and quiet spaces to make sure every child feels comfortable and included.

"Summer Day Camps are more than just childcare," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "They are a chance for kids to try new things, make friends, and stay active while parents work or run errands. We have designed these weeks to be safe, engaging, and full of local discovery."

Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. on June 11. Families should create or update their account on Wrenford Recreation Online ahead of time so they are ready to book. You can add a credit card, set up pre-authorized payment, and upload emergency contact forms in advance. If you need help, check the Online registration help page for step-by-step video tutorials and FAQs.

When you log in, you will see full camp schedules, location details, and pricing. You can also Request a fee waiver or reduction at the Service Wrenford counter in City Hall if you need financial assistance. Please note that during the first hour of registration, the online system may run slower than usual due to high demand. Confirmation emails might be delayed by a few minutes, but your spot will still be held.

Camp space fills quickly, so we encourage families to log in as soon as registration opens. If a preferred camp is full, you can join the waitlist and the system will automatically email you if a spot opens up. For a full list of camp locations, age requirements, and theme descriptions, visit the Day camp activities and themes page.

Have fun this summer!
