The City of Wrenford reminds residents that the Northgate Drop-off Depot is open for seasonal waste collection, effective today, May 5, 2026. Located at 1010 Northgate Boulevard, the depot operates on Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through the end of October.
Residents can drop off approved paper yard-waste bags, small scrap metal items, and other seasonal materials. Large appliances, electronics, and household hazardous waste must still be taken to the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility. For a full list of accepted items and current fees, visit the Garbage & Recycling page.
As spring cleaning and yard work get underway, the City also wants to remind residents to confirm their voter registration for the municipal election on Monday, October 26, 2026. You can check your status online or visit the Elections office at Wrenford City Hall. If you need to update your address or vote at a different polling place, head to the Voting place map and hours page for details.
"Getting your waste sorted and your registration confirmed are two simple ways to make sure your neighbourhood runs smoothly all season long," said City Manager Robert Eng. "We encourage everyone to use the depot responsibly and to plan ahead for election day."
