General voting day locations
On Monday, October 26, 2026, you must vote at your designated voting place. Your assigned location is based on your residential address. You can find your exact polling place by using the Check if you are registered to vote tool on the Elections page. The tool also confirms whether you are already registered to vote.
Who can vote
To vote in the Wrenford municipal election, you must meet the following requirements on voting day:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You are a Canadian citizen.
- You have lived in Wrenford for at least six months before the day of registration.
- You are not disqualified from voting under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 or any other law.
If you own property in Wrenford but live elsewhere, you may register as a non-resident property elector. You must bring proof of ownership, a signed consent form from the majority of other owners, and two pieces of identification. Only one owner per property may vote.
How to register and show your ID
The City uses the provincial voters list to create our list of registered electors. If your name is on the provincial list, you will receive a voter information card in September. Bring this card and one piece of identification to your voting place.
If you do not receive a card, you can still register at the polls. You will need two pieces of identification. Together, they must show your name, address, and signature. At least one piece must include your signature.
Acceptable identification includes:
- Ontario driver's licence
- Ontario Photo Card (ServiceOntario)
- Canadian passport
- Canadian citizenship card
- Birth certificate
- Utility bill (electricity, water, gas, or internet)
- Wrenford property tax notice
- Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency
Accessible voting
We want every eligible voter to be able to cast a ballot. All voting locations are accessible. If you cannot enter the building, call the Elections Office when you arrive at the voting place. Staff will bring the ballot box to your vehicle. You may also bring a friend or family member to help you mark your ballot. That person must make a solemn declaration to help you faithfully and impartially.
If you need help reading or translating, you may bring a household member to assist. Some election officials also speak French, Mandarin, or Punjabi and may be able to help you directly. Ask an official at the check-in table.
