The City of Wrenford's February fitness challenge officially ended on February 22, 2026, and we are celebrating the residents who made wellness a priority this winter. To mark the finish line, the City is handing out awards and gift cards to participants who tracked their activity and met their personal goals.
For the past month, you could earn points by visiting local recreation facilities, attending group exercise sessions, or logging outdoor activity. Points were awarded for trips to the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre and Northgate Aquatic Centre, as well as for joining drop-in fitness classes, strength and TRX classes, and gentle fitness sessions. Residents also earned points for walking or cycling the Tamsin River Trail, using transit to get to facilities, and completing at-home workout modules.
"Watching our neighbours make time for their health is the best part of my job," says Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. "This challenge shows that small, regular steps lead to big changes. We are so proud of everyone who showed up for themselves and their community."
Awards are available for pickup at the Service Wrenford counter in City Hall or at the front desk of any City recreation facility. You have until March 15 to claim your prize. If you signed up but did not track your activity, you can still register for upcoming programs. Spring and summer registration opens on March 1, 2027, and you can view the full schedule online.
