Fallsview Arts Centre hosts virtual gallery opening for local painters

The Fallsview Arts Centre is hosting a virtual gallery opening on Tuesday, January 28, featuring the work of 40 local painters. The free online event will showcase paintings from artists across Wrenford and the surrounding area, with live commentary and virtual tours of each piece.

You can join the opening reception through a secure streaming link sent after registration. The event will include short interviews with the artists, a panel discussion on building a local art market, and a live demonstration of watercolour techniques. Several painters will also offer free virtual workshops throughout February, covering digital portfolio building and printmaking basics.

“Wrenford has an incredibly active and creative arts community, and this virtual gallery gives us a chance to highlight local talent while keeping everyone safe during the winter months,” said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. “We want to make sure our painters have a platform to share their work and connect with collectors and fellow artists.”

Registration is required to receive the streaming link and workshop schedules. You can sign up through Wrenford Recreation Online, by calling 519-555-0134, or by visiting the Fallsview Arts Centre front desk at 50 Fallsview Road. The gallery opening runs from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. All ages are welcome.
