The City of Wrenford is welcoming regional teams for a weekend of spring hockey at the Eastfield Twin Arenas from May 23 to 24, 2026. Registration for participating teams and on-site spectators is now open through the Recreation & Culture portal.
The two-ice-pad facility at 620 Eastfield Road will run six-hour blocks of ice time each day. Coaches and team managers can book slots online or by calling 519-555-0123. All participants must be registered with Wrenford Recreation & Culture to access the ice. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure seating in the main concourse, as parking fills quickly during weekend tournaments.
"This is a great chance for our local players to showcase their skills and for teams from across the region to experience Wrenford's facilities," says Arjun Sidhu, Ward 5 councillor. "We have worked closely with the arena staff to make sure everything runs smoothly for everyone involved."
Teams must submit their rosters and proof of insurance by May 15. On-site concessions will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. both days. If you need a refund or want to move your ice time, contact the rink desk at least 48 hours in advance.
The City reminds residents that the municipal election is just a few months away on October 26, 2026. If you are not yet on the voter list, check your status and update your address at Check if you are registered to vote. You can also view the Voting place map and hours once they are released in mid-October. For more details on the election process, visit the Election rules and more page.
