2025-26 free public skating season begins November 9 at Eastfield

The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the 2025–26 free public skating season begins on Sunday, November 9, at Eastfield Twin Arenas and Westbrook Community Arena. Whether you are introducing a child to the ice, practicing hockey skills, or enjoying a family skate, there is a session for everyone this winter.

This season, the City offers several free public skating options across both arenas:

  • Public Skate for All — An inclusive recreational skate open to all ages and abilities.
Eastfield Twin Arenas: Sundays and Wednesdays, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.; Saturdays, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Westbrook Community Arena: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Stick and Puck — A relaxed session for skaters of all ages to practice skating and stickhandling in a non-competitive environment.
Eastfield Twin Arenas: Mondays, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Westbrook Community Arena: Fridays, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Senior Skate (55+) — A morning skate designed for older adults to stay active and socialize.
Westbrook Community Arena: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Tiny Tot Skate (5 and under) — A gentle session for young children to build balance and confidence alongside a parent or guardian.

All participants must complete a seasonal waiver before skating. You can fill out the waiver online before you arrive or use a printed copy at the rink desk.

"We are excited to welcome skaters back to the ice," said Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. "These free sessions give residents a chance to stay active, build confidence, and enjoy the winter months together in a safe, welcoming space."

The City will also host special holiday free skate sessions throughout December and January. Keep an eye on the schedule for dates and times.

Public skating times are subject to change based on ice maintenance and special events. Residents are encouraged to check the latest information before heading out.
