Summer day camp themes announced for August sessions

The City of Wrenford is proud to share the themes for our August day camp sessions. Running through the final weeks of summer, these programs provide a safe and engaging environment for children aged five to twelve at recreation centres throughout the city.

This year, we are rolling out five exciting themes designed to keep kids active, creative, and connected to their community. Campers will explore the local environment during our "Nature and trails" sessions, cool off with supervised water play in "Water and aquatics", dive into creative workshops for "Arts and culture", get moving with relay races and field games in "Sports and games", and meet local public servants during "Community helpers" weeks. Each day runs from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with charter bus transit provided for off-site field trips. Visual schedules and quiet spaces are available at all locations to support every camper.

"August is a great time to keep kids engaged and active before the new school year begins," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "These themes give families a choice that fits their child's interests, whether that's getting outdoors, making art, or learning how our city works."

Registration is open now for August sessions. You can register through Wrenford Recreation Online or by visiting your nearest recreation centre. Please note that day camps are designed for children aged five to twelve, and all staff are trained in first aid and child safety. If you need help with registration or are looking for fee assistance, please contact us or visit the Service Wrenford counter at City Hall.
