You can cool off and learn to swim at Kingfisher Outdoor Pool when it opens for the season on Saturday, May 25. The pool and splash pad are located at 15 Kingfisher Court, Wrenford, ON N4Q 4C1.
The opening date is set for May 25, but the City will move it back or ahead depending on the weather. If temperatures stay cool, the pool might open later. You can check for updates on the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool page.
When the doors open, you will find several ways to enjoy the water. Families can register for swimming lessons for all ages and skill levels. If you prefer to just jump in, you can visit during public swim hours. The splash pad is a great spot for young children to play in the shallow water. You can find more details about the splash pad and other playgrounds in the city on Find playgrounds and splash pads.
"We are looking forward to welcoming families back to the water this spring," said Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. "The splash pad and shallow end of the pool are perfect for young children to cool off and learn to swim."
To join a lesson or book a swim time, you can register online through the City's recreation portal. Registration dates and tips are available on the Registration dates and tips page. If you need help with registration or want to know about lower fees, visit the Fee assistance for leisure centres page.
Keep an eye on the weather forecast as the opening day approaches. Bring your towel, swimsuit, and a valid City of Wrenford Recreation Card or day pass. For full hours, program schedules, and rules, visit the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool page.
