The City of Wrenford is adjusting its regular garbage, Blue Box, and Green Bin collection schedules for Christmas Eve, December 24, and Christmas Day, December 25, 2024. Residents across the city will see a one-business-day delay for their usual collection routes due to the statutory holiday.
Waste collection crews will not be operating on December 25. As a result, all collections scheduled for December 24 or 25 will shift to the following business day. For example, if your route normally runs on Wednesday, December 25, your collection will now take place on Thursday, December 26.
To ensure your waste is collected on the new date, please place your carts at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the adjusted collection day. Remember to keep your carts at least one metre apart from parked vehicles and leave enough space for collection trucks to pass safely. If you are placing extra bags, please stick to the 10 kilogram extra bag weight limit and place them next to your cart, not on top.
If you have a question about your specific route or need assistance with a special bulk item pickup, contact the City Services team at 519-555-0100 or visit us at Wrenford City Hall, 100 Mercer Street, during business hours.
"We know the holiday season brings busy schedules, and we want to make sure everyone can enjoy their time off without worrying about missed pickups," said Ben Achterberg, Waste Programs Supervisor. "Just remember to pull your carts back from the curb as soon as they are emptied on the new collection day."
