Active projects
Find out what construction is happening in your neighbourhood. The City of Wrenford is actively working on several road improvement and infrastructure projects across the city. Work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
- Corvid Way between Northgate Boulevard and Mill Street: Water main and road resurfacing. Expect lane closures during business hours.
- Benchlands Drive between Ferris Street and Water Street: Sidewalk and curb rehabilitation. Pedestrian detours are in place.
- Ambrel Lake Road between Concession 4 Road and Orchard Park Road: Stormwater drainage upgrades. Overnight work may cause temporary traffic delays.
2026 Annual Paving Program
The City's annual paving program is active between May and October, weather permitting. The program resurfaces 185 lane kilometres of roads to prevent more expensive reconstruction work in the future. Projects are identified in the fall and scheduled for the following spring and summer.
A typical paving project includes:
- Milling: Removing the old asphalt surface.
- Manhole adjustments: Raising manhole covers to match the new pavement level.
- Tack coat application: Applying oil to help the new pavement stick.
- Asphalt placement: Laying the new road surface.
Parking restrictions are in effect during milling and paving. Please check the Roads & Winter Maintenance page for specific closures.
