City Hall and administration offices
We close our doors on statutory holidays so staff can rest and spend time with family. Phone lines and online services stay open around the clock. City Hall and the Service Wrenford counter are closed on New Year's Day, Family Day, Victoria Day, Good Friday, Canada Day, Heritage Day, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
On December 24 and December 31, we close early at 3:00 p.m. We will be completely closed from December 25 through January 1 for the year-end break. You can still pay property tax online, report a water leak or book a transit ride during these times.
Public transit
Wrenford Transit runs a holiday schedule on all statutory holidays. Fixed routes 1 through 14 stop running on the dates listed above. First and last trips run on a reduced timetable. Service starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 7:00 p.m.
Wrenford Access specialized transit does not run on statutory holidays. If you need a ride on a holiday, call 519-555-0114 at the Downtown Transit Terminal to ask about special service options. Dial 311 inside city limits for real-time trip planning.

Waste and recycling
Garbage, Blue Box and Green Bin collection continues on most holidays. Your collection truck will come on the usual day unless it is a statutory holiday.
The East Wrenford Waste Management Facility and Northgate Drop-off Depot close on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. They open on regular hours on all other holidays. Keep in mind that paper yard-waste bags are not collected on statutory holidays. If your collection day falls on a holiday, collection moves to the next regular day.
If your bins are missed on a regular collection day, call 519-555-0100 or visit Garbage & Recycling to report it.
Public safety and libraries
Emergency services never close. Call 9-1-1 for police, fire or medical emergencies. The Wrenford Police Service non-emergency line is 519-555-0102. The Wrenford Police Service Headquarters front desk is open 24 hours. Fire Station 1 administration closes on holidays but fire crews remain on duty.
Wrenford Public Library branches close on statutory holidays. Check Library for branch hours. You can still borrow and return items using the outdoor book drop.
