Youth organizations and group registration

How to register a youth group with the City and find existing programs in Wrenford.

Register a youth group

If you run a sports team, arts club, or community group for young people in Wrenford, you can register it with the City. Registration helps us support your activities, connect you with facilities, and keep you in the loop about City programs. All groups must provide proof of general liability insurance for $2,000,000 and complete a simple application each year.

Applications open on January 2 and close on April 30. Late applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. You can submit your application online through the Youth Group Registration Portal or drop a paper form at the Service Wrenford counter in City Hall. The annual registration fee is $50.00, which covers your listing in the City directory and access to basic booking tools. If you need help, email [email protected] or call 519-555-0100.

Find a youth group

Wrenford has dozens of groups running programs in parks, recreation centres, and community halls. You do not need to register to join one. Search the directory below by activity or neighbourhood to find a team or club that fits your interests. Membership fees may apply for some organizations.

  • Sports and outdoor activities: Minor hockey at Westbrook Community Arena and Eastfield Twin Arenas, soccer at Riverside Flats Park, and swimming lessons at the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre and Northgate Aquatic Centre.
  • Arts and culture: Youth drama and dance workshops at the Fallsview Arts Centre, music classes at the Wrenford Public Library branches, and visual art programs at the Railside Gallery.
  • Community and volunteer clubs: Youth volunteer groups that help with park clean-ups at Ambrel Lake Park, trail maintenance on the Tamsin River Trail System, and community garden plots at Centennial Gardens.

Support and funding

The City offers several ways to help your group grow. You can book affordable facility space at recreation centres and parks through the Facilities page. Groups that serve at-risk youth or promote community safety may qualify for funding through the Apply for community grants program. The City also provides access to the Wrenford Youth Engagement Hub for meeting space and computer access.

For questions about group insurance, facility bookings, or grant applications, contact the Youth Programs Coordinator at 519-555-0100 or [email protected]. We are happy to help you get started.
