Where to buy transit passes
You can purchase single-ride tickets, day passes, and monthly or annual transit passes in person, over the phone, online, or through the Wrenford Transit mobile app. All passes are valid on fixed routes 1 to 14, Wrenford Access, and Wrenford Flex. Fares are collected upon boarding, and a 90-minute transfer window applies to all paid rides.
Downtown Transit Terminal
The main fare sales counter is located at the Downtown Transit Terminal (1 Market Square). The terminal is open Monday to Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can pay with cash, debit, or credit. Staff can also help you register for Wrenford Access, pick up route maps, and answer questions about schedules.
Over the phone
Call 311 from inside the city, or 519-555-0100 from outside, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Tell the operator which pass you need. We will mail it to you through Canada Post, so please allow extra time for delivery. Phone purchases are made with a credit card or Interac Debit. You will need to provide your full name and mailing address.
Online and mobile app
Download the Wrenford Transit app to buy passes instantly on your phone. The app accepts credit cards and Interac Debit, and you can load digital passes directly to your device for a quick tap on board. Online purchases are available 24/7. If you lose your phone, your digital pass can be recovered by contacting customer service with your account details.
Discounted and subsidized passes
Wrenford offers reduced fares for youth, seniors, and low-income residents. You must show valid proof of eligibility when you buy your pass. Eligibility checks take about 10 business days.
- Wrenford Student Transit Pass: $65.00 per month for full-time K-12 students. Requires a valid student ID from the Wrenford District School Board or Wrenford Catholic District School Board.
- Wrenford Senior Transit Grant: Reduced monthly fares for riders aged 65 and older. Requires a valid Wrenford Photo ID or senior health card.
- Low-Income Transit Pass programme: Subsidized monthly fares for eligible residents. You must be approved through the Low-Income Transit Pass programme before purchasing. Show your approval letter and a valid photo ID at the Downtown Transit Terminal or at the City Cashiers counter in Wrenford City Hall.
Transit passes cannot be shared. Only the person whose name is on the pass may use it. Lending, exchanging, or selling a personal pass may result in removal from the programme and a fine under the Traffic and Parking By-law. If you misplace a physical pass, you must purchase a new one; the City does not issue refunds for lost tickets.
