Upcoming City recruitment events
Whether you are looking for a full-time career, a part-time job, or a summer opportunity, the City of Wrenford holds regular recruitment events. These sessions let you meet hiring managers, learn about our benefits, and apply for open positions. All City recruitment events are free to attend. How to prepare for a recruitment event
Getting ready ahead of time helps you make the most of your visit. Follow these steps to stand out:
- Bring at least three copies of your resume printed on white paper.
- Wear clean, professional clothes. You do not need a suit, but clean jeans and a collared shirt work for most roles.
- Write down the names and business cards of the people you meet so you can follow up later.
- Prepare a short introduction about yourself and the kind of work you are looking for.
If you need help writing your resume or practicing interview questions, visit the Applicant Resources page. You can also book a free one-on-one session with a career coach at City Hall.
Virtual and on-demand sessions
Not able to attend in person? The City streams some recruitment info sessions on the Wrenford YouTube channel. You can also watch past recordings of the Police and Fire recruitment talks. If you have a question that was not answered during the stream, email the Careers team at [email protected].
Need help getting ready?
We want every resident to have a fair shot at City jobs. If you need transit tickets to get to an event, a sign-language interpreter, or help printing your documents, let us know when you register. We can also provide large-print or Braille versions of application forms.
