Stay Connected with Confidence
Technology moves fast, but you do not have to keep up alone. The City of Wrenford offers free digital literacy workshops specifically designed for seniors. These sessions are held in a friendly, low-pressure environment where you can learn at your own pace. Whether you want to video call your grandchildren, pay bills online, or simply browse the news, we are here to help you navigate the digital world.
What You Will Learn
Our workshops cover the basics of modern devices. Instructors will guide you through:
- Smartphones and Tablets: How to make calls, send texts, and use apps on the screen.
- Internet Browsing: Safe ways to search for information and visit websites.
- Email and Messaging: Setting up accounts and staying in touch with friends and family.
- Security Basics: How to recognize scams and protect your personal information online.
Who Can Attend
These classes are open to all older adults in Wrenford. No prior experience is needed. If you have never used a computer or smartphone before, that is perfectly fine. Our staff are patient and ready to answer every question. You do not need to bring your own device, but you are welcome to bring one if you prefer to practice on your own tablet or phone.
How to Register
Spaces are limited to ensure everyone gets personal attention. Please register in advance. You can call the main line at 519-555-0100 or use Wrenford 311 to sign up. If you need accommodation due to a disability, please let us know when you register so we can make the right arrangements.
