What you can do here
The Planning and Development department guides you through building permits, zoning changes, subdivisions, and development applications. You can ask questions, book pre-application meetings, drop off forms, or track the status of your project. Our team is here to help you understand the rules so your project moves forward smoothly.
How to reach us
For general questions, call 519-555-0140 or email [email protected]. Our team usually replies within two business days. You can also visit us in person at City Hall. Our service counter is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Walk-in consultations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For longer meetings or formal file reviews, please book a time in advance by calling the main desk.
Fees and rules
Most planning and building applications require a fee. The full schedule of charges is listed in the building permit fee schedule. Applications that are incomplete or missing required drawings will not be processed and will be returned to you. A staff member will check every submission for completeness before it enters the review pipeline. Please note that all plans must be submitted in English and follow the city's engineering standards.
Application drop-off and mailing
You can submit documents in person or by mail. When you drop off an application, staff will review it and give you a receipt with a tracking number. Incomplete applications will be returned without processing. For large plan sets, we recommend bringing them in a flat folder or tube so they arrive undamaged.
In-person drop-off: Room 310, 100 Mercer Street, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A1
Mailing address: Planning and Development, P.O. Box 100, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A1
